Tamotsu purred and licked Sakura back gently.
Kotaro saw Kasumi begging so he caught the the pidgey gently and let Seju out. Seju barked happily and ran to Kasumi.

Kasumi used a paw to tickle Seju under the chin. She hadn't seen him for a long time.
"Soon it will be sakura's birthday." Mylan told Tamotsu gently

Seju chuckled and tried to push Kasumi's paw down.
Tamotsu startled and he launched into a frezied calling spree in which he sounded quiet upset. It sounded something like, "Pix! Vul, vul, vul, piiiiiiiiiix, pix. Vul pix vul!"
Kotaro stared, worried but not sure what Tamotsu was screaming about.

Kasumi's eyes narrowed. She pushed farther and made Seju topple over with her on him. She barked, wagging her tail.
Sakura reached out and brought the frenzied Vulpix between her forelegs. She lay down, and placed his head on her right paw, and asked gently, "Child what is wrong?"

"Y-Your birthday's coming!" Tamotsu exclaimed worriedly, "It's coming and I haven't gotten you anything yet! Oh dear, oh dear!"
Seju wagged his tail as well and licked Kasumi's cheek.

Sakura smiled and looked hopefully to Kotaro to see if he was going to evolve him soon.
Kasumi shivered. It was getting cold. She snuggled closer to Seju.
Mylan shivered, "It's getting cold, Kotaro. Autumn is ending."

"Yeah, sure is," Kotaro said, looking up at the cloudy sky, "We should get back to town."
Seju cuddled with Kasumi to keep her warm.
Tamotsu looked up at Sakura and whined sadly.
"I'm sorry," he said, whimpering, "I'm sorry."

Kasumi whined for Mylan.
Mylan bent down and petted the tiny poochyena. "Let's sleep here." She proposed

Tamotsu wiggled around, finding a comfortable place under Sakura's warm paws. He wasn't sure what she meant. After all, he had nothing to give her. He sighed and tried to sleep.
Kotaro saw Tamotsu fall asleep and nodded. He felt bad for his little vulpix but he wouldn't force Tamotsu to evolve if he didn't want too.
"When is Sakura's birthday?" he asked Mylan.

"Her birthday is in two days."
She was setting the sleeping bags out. The fire was already roaring.

"Do you have an extra Fire Stone?" he asked Mylan.

Kotaro held the fire stone in his hand, feeling the gentle warmth from the stone, he settled into his sleeping bag, holding the stone against him.
He would use the stone soon but not yet, it would ruin the surprise.
