They traveled up the road for a while, looking at the sunlight coming through the trees, when they came upon a river.
"That's strange," Kotaro said, looking at a map, "There's no river on the map. How'd this thing get here?"

A magikarp swum by, and a couple squirtle could be seen at the deep end, but nothing unusual.

Kotaro returned Seju and Tamotsu to their pokeballs and stepped into the cold water after Mylan. He shivered.

She got to the other side. Kasumi splashed happily after her. She lay shivering in the bright morning sunlight

When Mylan rolled back towards him Kotaro wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to keep them both warm. Tamotsu popped out of his pokeball and tried to cuddle with the two humans to help them warm up.

She shivered. Kasumi tromped toward them to brush the water off them. Sakura popped out of her poeball and used Heat Wave to dry off the humans
