"...Since Oshira-sama has chosen you, I suppose you deserve an answer," the man said, his voice quiet and deep. He stepped back with a leap similar to the woman's, "I am the Lady Oshira's warrior, Inmu. My brother Yanku and I are in charge of testing those who play Otokoyo. If you are brave, strong, and noble you will make it through to the end. If you are not, then your throat will be cut and an arrow will be imbedded in your cowardly, sinful heart. If you really wish to become the lover of the Goddess of the Demon City, I suggest you stay on your toes."
Another arrow came from behind Kenta, this one aimed at his right shoulder. The intent was to give him a chance, not kill him out right, although both Inmu and Yanku could silence him with ease. Both men were lithe and strong, they bodies honed after years of fighting for their own lives.
(Inmu and Yanku are the identical twins in the banner. They're older in this RP though.)

The pirate looked at these twins with a dumbfounded expression plastered across his face. What? Was this seriously happening right now? This, this right here was something he could never have imagined happening at least not to him, but alas he did managed to get himself in this situation. He heard stories of people who've gotten themselves in the most outlandish situations by perusing pleasures of the flesh, and now he had a story that was all his own as well. His lips parted to say something, but that all too familiar sound of an arrow soaring in the air hit his ears before the sharp arrow hit his shoulder. He grunted as he clenched his teeth as the sharp metal dug into him until the point hit bone.
He huffed angrily as he narrowed his eyes at them wondering who shot this arrow at him. His hand reached to his shoulder to pull out the arrow from his body, and trying to suppress the pain as the points sliced his bleeding wound again. "Damn, all this for a lay?" He tossed the bloodied weapon on the ground to his side as he felt his shoulder throb as the crimson liquid stained his clothing, but he ignored it as best as he could knowing that it really wasn't that deep of a wound that could be detrimental to him. He sustained worse injuries at sea, but like they warned he would have to be vigilant now. An arrow to the wrong place, and it would end him.
(Oh okay,)

"It is not just a lay," Inmu answered calmly, his sword still clenched in his hand but held loosely at his side, "If you succeed in passing our test and getting to Oshira-sama she will be yours forever. That means that she will do anything to protect you and will share your bed for as long as you ask. She has chosen you out of all the others and that is very special. She is willing to vouch for you, and understand this kaizoku, Lady Oshira is very powerful, and to have her love is a great boon. You will fight for her, won't you?" From a balcony above and behind Kenta, Inmu's twin Yanku sat with his bow drawn, his red eyes glowing. He was slightly gentler then his brother and that was why he had yet to aim for Kenta's vitals. Still, the young kaizoku's answer would determine his next move. (Just to give you a mental picture. You're an awesome RPer btw. ^^ )

The pirate could only arch his eyebrow at Inmu as he processed what was told to him. The entire thing did intrigue him as he narrowed his eyes in thought. It sounded like a great opportunity to him. "Sure, I don't see why not," All he had to do was prove himself which to him sounded simple enough. It might've been his arrogance taking over, but he was up to the challenge to fight for her. How hard could it have been? Well they did shoot arrows at him, and they managed to hit him with one. "What am I fighting exactly anyway?" He gruffly asked as he glanced down at the arrow he threw to the ground before looking back at Inmu. As a pirate he was used to taking what he wanted when he wanted, and that applied here for him. The whole thing did sound pretty fun. He could only chuckled at the thought of returning to the sea with this woman, and the rest of the crew would watch in awe.
(Aww thanks, you're great too!)

Yanku slowly lowered his bow, sighing quietly in gentle relief, glad that Kenta had answered correctly. He looked at his brother and knew that Inmu's competitive nature was beginning to surface. He smiled softly and nodded.
Inmu, whose eyes had glanced at his twin, nodded as well and a sly smile slid across Inmu's face behind his mask, his red eyes narrowing slightly. Yanku and he would protect their lady from any ruffians who were unworthy. His brother and he had sworn to it.
"You will be fighting me," he said, bringing his sword around so the deadly tip pointed at Kenta, "For your sake, it is not a fight to the death. I am going to test you, and if you please me, my brother and I will lead you to Oshira-sama. If you should fail, we will give you to the count of ten, and then we will come after you. If you somehow manage to reach Oshira before we end you, she may save you life. So, prepare yourself, sire, and show me what you are made of."
With a smooth, fluid motion, Oshira's warrior took a fighting stance, his sword sharp and ready. He took one breath and let it out as a hiss, his eyes pinning Kenta.
By the hot spring pool, the woman giggled and smiled softly, pleased with the idea of being on the clear, rolling sea with her new lover.
(Thank you. :3 )

A smirk formed on Kenta's face that showed all the arrogance that he was made of, and possibly some more as he also took his own fighting stance. His mind didn't race, and he wasn't anxious about this at all. If it was a fight that they wanted then it was a fight that he was more than willing to give. "Hmph," He eyed his opponent quickly trying play out several situations in his head as he charged forwards only to slash at Inmu with his blade. ( )

Blades clashed together as Inmu blocked, rolling Kenta's blade away from him. Body lithe, strung tight as a bow, Inmu was watching Kenta intently, all other thoughts banished from his mind, like a hunting predator.
"Very good, you have power behind you," he admitted, slowly walking sideways, each footstep carefully placed as he began to circle, "Now, let's see your foot work."
He stepped effortlessly, swinging in to knock Kenta's side with the flat side of his blade, a superior teaching a underling their place. He was smiling behind his mask.

The pirate was expecting a strike not an attempt to take him off his feet. To him it appeared in front of his eyes like slow motion the flat side of the blade slicing through the air towards his feet. To that he pushed against the ground taking a leap into the air to avoid the the strike all together. Just as quickly as he jumped he landed on the ground again with a loud thud. He grinned at Inmu flashing him a wink. "You can thank the sea for that," The sea was very determined to knock people off their feet, and it made a person either gain quick reflexes or swallow them with no forgiveness. Fortunately for him he complied to the sea's request, and learned to work quickly on his feet.

"Mmm," Inmu said, nodding as he straightened and stepped back, "Strong, good reflexes, you're doing well. Now, for the last test."
And with that he turned his own sword on himself, thrusting the sword towards his belly. As the blade descended, Inmu took a breath, remembering how Oshira had rescued Yanku and himself so many years ago. They owed her so much, they would do anything for her. Even die.
From the balcony, Yanku's eyes widened in horror at what his brother was doing. He jumped to the street, landing at a swift run, trying to stop his brother before it was to late.

He witnessed as the sword disappeared within Inmu, and that left the pirate speechless as the sword started traveling down his abdomen. How was this a test? What did he expect him suppose to do? He sheathed his sword as disbelief painted his face, "What the hell are you doing?" His tone was curiosity and astonishment as conflicting thoughts ran through his head. Seeing the life leave someone was something he was no stranger to, so death itself wasn't was shocked him. It was just that he saw no reason. What was the reason, for this random suicide. There was something that told him that he might get ambushed, but despite that he extended his arms to catch him.

Blood spilled from Inmu's mouth and he fell into Kenta's arms, his legs going out from under him. He withdrew his sword from his belly and dropped it, letting the blade clatter to the ground.
"Well, two out of three wasn't bad," he wheezed, "Still..."
He closed his eyes, focusing on breathing and Yanku got to his brother, frantically trying to save his twin.
"Don't just stand there, kaizoku," he said to Kenta, panicking as he pressed his hands over Inmu's bleeding stomach, "Help me! Inmu, don't go. Don't leave me. Please!"

He gritted his teeth as he held Inmu because he shoulder was not up to baring any weight at the moment. He watched as the other twin ran towards them trying. He shook his head knowing that there was no way to help this. You couldn't escape death when you sliced yourself open like that. There's nothing to do, he's as good as dead." Yanku's efforts where wasted as the pirate watched him press against the spilling crimson. The blood split to the ground they stood on, "Look, you better say bye now because you ain't getting another chance."

Yanku looked pitingly at Kenta and Inmu sighed.
"Well you're realistic, I'll give you that," Inmu said as he looked at Kenta. His belly was still bleeding badly but it didn't seem to bother him at all, "But you lack kindness. How can we trust Oshira-sama with you if you don't care about her? Sympathy for one's enemies is the greatest kindness there is. Remember that."
He sighed, disappointed, and climbed out of Kenta's arms.
"You went to far, brother," Yanku said, speaking out loud for Kenta's benefit. Inmu shook his head in regret and pressed his hand gently to his belly, feeling the wound knit together and heal as if it had never been.
(Bit of a plot twist there. Sorry, I couldn't let him die, he's one of my favorite characters)

His days at sea were filled with all sorts of strange happenings or sometimes oddities, but what was happening was way out there for him. This really couldn't have been some sort of weird dream because his shoulder would've woken him long ago. This was actually happening right in front of him. Inmu was healing himself from that self inflicted injury that should have been fatal. He furrowed his eyebrows as he watched intently at the wound that began closing up. "Kindness for enemies? I don't kill'em all, some get dumped on islands," This tone was nonchalant as he glanced up at the faces of the twins before continuing to watch the wound. It was true thought, when raiding boats they killed who put up a fight, burned the boat, and beached the rest on some island. It wasn't the most kindest thing to do, but it had to have been better than just tossing them to the sea where they probably would've lasted a day. Yes, the sea was cruel when she wanted to be.
(It's understand, can't just let your favorite go. They're a favorite for a reason)

Inmu and Yanku looked at each other, silently conversing with their twin, and then they looked back at Kenta, their eyes glowing a soft red.
"Well, that is something; helping the innocent shows that you are a good man," Yanku said calmly, "We understand you are a kaizoku and you must protect yourself, you can not always afford sympathy...Hm, perhaps if I tell you the story of how we met Oshira, you shall understand what we want from you. Will you listen?"
(Yeah, the plan was to appeal to Kenta's sympathy in the hope that he would stop Inmu from stabbing himself, but he was a realist so I did a quick fix. *shrugs*)
