Taichiji had to think quickly now; but his mind was racing at the thought of Kimotori. He'd almost, almost disembowled him last time. He couldn't let that happen to him, or anyone else.
B..but I'm an electrician! That's why I was sent here! My job.. it's to make sure lighting and electric things run correctly!!' He was starting to panic from his memories, his voice befoming more frantic.

Oshira-sama giggled but when Chitori whined she went quiet. She listened for a moment as he rumbled deep in his chest.
"Oh, if I must," she said to the demon, patting his head, "I suppose he did make you feel better after all."
She leaned down over Chitori's back and whispered gently in his ear, "Take the child to the tower and I won't tell Kimotori where they are."
Chitori whined again, looking sad but Oshira-sama turned back to Taichiji.
"Run while you can, electrician." she sang, hoping off the other demon's back and walking off, "You are going to need it."

'That kitsune is one killjoy.' He shook his head and told the others that for now, it was ok to come out of hiding. He looked to the twins, horribly disppondent. He decided not to look to the poor child.

"W-What's the tower?" Akihito asked, stuttering nervously, "Is it bad?"
Chitori whined again but then he turned to Akihito, sniffed him, and proceeded to pick him up by the back of the boy’s shirt. He really didn't want to do this but if it was to protect Taichiji...
Akihito shrieked fearfully.
“No!” he screamed, sobbing, twisting around as he tried to break free, “No, don’t let him take me please!”
Inmu and Yanku stepped forward, but Chitori growled at them and stamped his foot. It was a warning: Get in my way and I'll run you down. They reluctantly drew their weapons.

'Chitori,' He looked sadly to the shishi.'W..Wait a moment.'
Taichiji made a motion he usually did when he was thinking hard.
He went up to Chitori and went to pet him again. 'It's ok boy. I think we still may be able to get through here and keep you lights on.'

Chitori made a questioning noise in the back of his throat and looked back at Taichiji. If he didn't do this then Oshira-sama would tell Komitori to come. Then Taichiji would get hurt and Chitori didn't want the young man to be hurt, he liked Taichiji.
When Chitori didn't rush down the hallway, Inmu and Yanku lowered their weapons. They looked at each other but didn't speak.

Taichiji whispered into Chitori's ear. 'No worries. I'll see to it no one is hurt by Oshira-sama anymore; even your friends you live with here. I'll fix everything.'
He looked to the twins for a moment.
'Inmu, Yanku... I think the kistune is fearing the worst at the moment. I..I think she actually just bluffed to one of her own kind. This is a tricky one, this kitsune.'

"Bluff or not, she'll probably send Kimotori whether the child goes to the tower or not," Inmu said gravely.
"And when Kimotori does come," Yanku continued, "He'll take Akihito to the tower himself. Perhaps if Chitori took the boy to the gate? He could escape into the outskirts of the city."

'It is an idea. But if you rememer guys, the gate slammed shut behind us. Chitori would have to bust the gate.. unless.. someone disengages the locking mechanism without the knowledge of the 'others' It's still tricky, but I'm willingto try this. plus, my employer's going to need access here anyhow if we're going to be able to make this place fully functional. What do you think guys?'
He looked to everyone, seeing if they caught on to the idea he had.

The twins nodded and Yanku bent down to talk to Akihito.
"Now listen me, child," he said, "We are going to take you back to Otokoyo Square and when you get pass the gate you must run and not look back, understand?"
Akihito nodded.
"W-Will you guys come with me?" he asked, looking from the twins to Taichiji hopefully.

'That's the plan, or.. at least I will. Chitori probably will too.. if he doesn't mind giving me a lift that is.' He looked to his bad leg that had been injured when he fell. 'Inmu and Yanku can definetly do as the please. They have a reason to play the game this time so, I probably shouldn't hold them up from it.'
Taichiji began packing his toolkit and struggled to his feet.

Inmu shook his head and Yanku grabbed Taichiji's shoulders to steady him.
"We said that we will stay with you as long as we can, and we keep our word," Inmu said, "We will return with you to the gate but the child will have to leave the city alone."
"You may go with him, if you wish, Taichiji," Yanku said softly.

Taichiji was suprised. He thought promises as always very important things, but.. to see that someone else did as well; and for him no less!! He smiled happily. That, even in this frightening place of nightmares, he actually had TRUE freinds. He was fairly sure now that even despite 'his' appearance, Chitori may never had been a true demon in the first place. Light in a metaphorical sense, was begining to shed itself on the very large puzzle that was O-Tokoyo.
"Chitori, will you oblige friend?' He showed no fear to the 'Good Guardian of the Town' as he pat him happily.

Yanku patted Taichiji on the shoulder in passing while Inmu pulled Akihito's shirt, and Akihito, out of Chitori's mouth.
Chitori rumbled good naturally and bent down so Taichiji could climb onto his back.

Taichiji got up onto the shishis back and patted his head. He then motioned for one of the twins to pass up the boy too. He'd have gladly helped up the twins, but he hadn't taken into account that Chitori was only a 'two seater'. He looked sadly to the twins atthis and sighed deeply shaking his head. He then fel his bad leg twinge and he cringed a tad.
