Okay, so I was RPing with Thunderbear (Return to the Tower if your interested) and I started thinking about the back story I made up for the twins and how they escaped from the tower and city after Kakurenbo.
I'm interested in writing this fiction but I wanted to know if anyone would be interested in reading it (before I spend time on it).
So what do you think?

Thanks. Now I just have to make sure I don't make it to long. I always start writing and then the short little story turns into a huge mess.

Ah yes the Curse of Creativity tm. Sometimes you need to beat it down with a stick and scream "STAY SHORT YOU!" or you'll never get any peace. lol XD

I'm sure they did. They were probably constantly pacing and pulling out their hair like us. lol Btw, since you seem to know a good amount about Japanese mythology, do you know how common half-demons were in ancient Japan? I'm asking because I have this idea that Inmu and Yanku (who have heightened senses/abilities and glowing eyes) may be related to a demon, possibly a kitsune. Of course, I don't want to base my idea off of an anime (like Inuyasha) because the info would be twisted and frankly, the Inuyasha anime has half demons coming out of the woodwork.

as for youkai mating whit human beings, it was a very frequent topic in folklore featuring kitsune and tanuki. Though the chances of that happening these days would be slim, but considering it is anime too.. it is more then likely possible. Yes; I know the aren't as frequently seen as in Inuyasha though.. hhhm.. it seems Takahashi twisted a hell of a lot of stuff in inuyasha lol.. the fequencey of demons should be less then the frequency of possible illnesses and curses for instance. And usually if somene was cursed, they either did sometihng to piss of the gods royaly, did sometihng to peeve off an ancestor (usually taboos), or just curse by an angry spirit etc cause they got in its way really.. any other infor you need?.. and Ainu culture is totally different thoguh from the inland peoples of Japan especiallly concerning the bear cerimonies etc. I think you're just centering on the Japanese culture though yeh..?

Yes, I was pretty sure Takahashi went a little overboard. I read somewhere that a kitsune could turn into a woman, marry a man, have his child and that the child would "possess special physical or supernatural qualities that often pass to their own children." So even if Inmu and Yanku aren't the sons of a kitsune they could be described as being the grandsons or great grandsons of a kitsune...and I just had a scary idea of Oshira-sama being their ancestress.
Of course, the real problem is how to explain Inmu and Yanku's twin natures without people going "oh you got that from Inuyasha." grr

I think it's okay but it did seem to mess up a whole bunch of people. I mean, in English lore, the child of an Incubus and a human woman was called a Cambion but you say hanyou and people assume that you're talking about INUYASHA! It drives me crazy.

and hanyou aren't allways evil either. nor do they change like werewolves like inu did either<.<;`` thoguh they do retain parental qualities at times.. tails or if a tanuki, a silver/white streak in thier hair or odd makrings on the eyes or something.. that's usually the case. Also youkai are .mix and matchtoo.. they. are manevelent OR benevolent spirits at times.. it really depends on different things.
