(Apparently my last one didn't post)
Motioning to Seju, Mylan quickly darted between trees back to camp. She sensed something just past the trees watching them.
Kasumi curled around her pups, a growl deep in her throat.

Seju followed, rushing quickly through the trees. Tamotsu stayed near Kotaro, his nice tails raised if he needed to attack.

Mylan burst through the trees, with Seju right behind her. As soon as she reached the tent, she dove in to check if Kasumi and her pups were alright.
Kasumi yipped assurance, and Kotone yawned, unaware of the turmoil outside.
Mylan slipped back outside, and quickly looked outside. "Kotaro? Kotaro?" She whispered worriedly
The black entity moved ominously just past the dark branches that surrounded the clearing.

"I'm here, Mylan," Kotaro said, coming around from the other side of the tent. He wrapped his arms around her and held her protectively, growling at the dark figure beyond the trees.
"You are you?" he demanded, "Show yourself!"

Mylan heard the soft rustle of the tent as Seju slid slowly into it so he wouldn't disturb the pups. She turned slightly in Kotaro's embrace to get a better glimpse of the shadowy creature.

Kotaro narrowed his eyes and slowly moved back towards the tent.
"Mylan, get inside," he whispered, "Maybe the creature won't see you."

Mylan stubbornly remained in place as she squinted at the dark shape. A deep rattling began to sound from the direction of the monster. Mylan squeaked, and she heard Kasumi whimper behind her. They could hear scales slither over rocks as the Arbok rose into view.

"Tamotsu," Kotaro called loudly, the ninetales rushing into veiw in defensive of his trainer, "Use extrasensory."
With glowing eyes the ninetales sent out a psychic blast, straight at the Arbok.

The Arbok curled up on itself, protecting it's head. It used Acid Spray, spitting in a wide berth. Mylan stood transfixed, watching the graceful cobra pokemon

Kotaro moved back, taking Mylan with him and Tamotsu jumped, using the trees as support as he headed towards the arbok. He used Flamethrower.

The Arbok reared back, hissing. "Arbok, ark!" It shrieked, as it's tail caught on fire. It quickly slithered back into the forest

Tamotsu dropped back to the ground, growling and watching to make sure the arbok was really gone.
Kotaro held Mylan, watching as well.
"Are you alright?" he asked her.

"Yes, thank you, Kotaro." said Mylan as she stumbled back up. Kasumi poked her head out of the tent to make sense of the commotion.

Kasumi barked, "Is everything settled out there?", while still inside with the pups. She waited anxiously. Mylan stumbled into her tent and pulled out a matchbox
