As Taiki gave her speech, Ami had her hands wrapped around the other woman's, squeezing supportively. She never wanted her new love to go and the thought of Taiki dying was to horrible to think about, especially since Ami had already lost all of her original loved ones. Worriedly, she pressed against Taiki's side, traping the warmth beneath them. Happy tears formed in her eyes however when her darling called her her princess.
"Hm," Zoisite said, resting his chin in his hand as he 'thought it over' following the woman's passionate speech,, "...Good enough. If that's how you feel and promise not to vanish, you're welcome here Taiki-san. Besides, it was always Ami-chan's decision. Now, I hope you are willing to help us with this oncoming battle, even if it is from a supporting roll."

The boy nodded and held tightly to Saki's shoulders as she began her attack. The beast she was trying to attack saw her move and snarled, baring horrible, rotting fangs in a black skull head as it lept to attack. However, it never got that far, for a large creature with huge claws and blue wild fur slammed into the beast, knocking it aside before it began to tear the beast asunder.
Unfortunately, other beasts came at Saki, wanting to kill her and the babe. The boy screamed.

Taiki couldn't stop herself as she cried happily hugging her love at long last. 'Ami, my Hime! Finally! I missed you so much for years but nothing will take us from eachother now; nothing! I won't let it!'
She turned and bowed with a greateful smile to Zoisite.
"Hai sir. That's the other reason of which I have come. It's true what I had said. The first wave of enemies had struck not long ago from now. They were attacking a small fox family I believe, though... I'm afraid my instincts took over and I bolted as fast as I could. I'm sorry Sir, I....I dishonour us.' She was clarly horribly ashamed at herself.

'Just keep haning on kid!' Saki yelled over the snarling, howling, and gnashing of teeth from Aobozu and the frighteningly ghastly-looking beings. She readied her gunsen again and cut up and down with it while she spun herself in a cirular motion. Her pale tail and hair whipping around aswell in the effect of a cutting whirlling dervish.

Ami smiled and hugged Taiki back, kissing her lips lovingly. She held on tight, not wanting to ever let go. She nuzzled her solider love, her Star maker, her... she blushed. Zoisite watched all this and chuckled. "That is Inmu and Yanku's family," he said, "I haven't heard anything from Inari-sama so they must be alright. Still, you shouldn't be ashamed. Jumping into a situation you are unprepared for is foolish and does more harm then good. It's best that you came here first." --- The boy held on tightly, his eyes squeezed shut as Saki whipped around, bashing into the monsters with her fan. The nearest beasts growled and yipped when Saki hit them, although she was spinning fast enough that they couldn't find a spot to bite her without getting struck. --- Meanwhile, Kindred was traveling through the city, dashing and leaping from hiding spot to roof tops, watching quietly. They stopped on an unoccupied balcony and the larger of the two sniffed the air and let out a rumble. The slender, white figure gently placed her soft hand upon her companion's large muzzle. "What is it, dear Wolf?" she asked him, her voice so soft and gentle, "What do you feel?" "I sense him," the larger creature said in a deep, raspy voice, almost sounding surprised, "Someone with a heart like me, my little Lamb. I thought...there were no others." "There are no others like you, my precious Wolf," Lamb said gently and Wolf answered, "Just as there are no lambs like you, my own. I know, but still..." "Yes," she said, looking in the direction Wolf was gazing. Silently she stuck her nose in the air, sniffing delicately in the direction of Nephrite's house. Her small lamb tail swished back and forth and she gripped her bow. "Is it time to chase?" Wolf asked, his mouth held in a wolf's grin. "We shall see," Lamb replied, "Come, let us go." Adshino lay back his head, grateful for the health of his children, and closed his eyes. He was so tired now that he fell asleep, breathing deeply. ---- Meanwhile, the battle at Inmu and Yanku's home had ended, the twins still cautious but fairly certain they had slayed the last enemy. They met in the courtyard and silently checked each other over, looking for any injures with gentle fingertips. While Yanku was checking near Inmu's hip, the older twin slid his hand into his brother's hair, a tender, comforting gesture, and Yanku stopped and looked up. Their o-men masks hid their expressions but as they looked into each other's eyes, there were no words for how they felt. Yanku surged into his twin' arms. Thank goodness, you're safe. They took a moment to hug tightly, kiss gently, and then they held hands as they rushed back to the main house. Hyosuke was there, still standing with his double swords, protecting the main door. He looked tired but the blood that pooled to the floor was not his. When his sons joined him they hugged as well, checking him for injury just in case and he them, and when they were all deemed fine they went inside. The grandmother was there along with Miaka, Saki, Tobi and the children. Inmu and Yanku immediately went to their wives, hugging they tightly, the breath they had been holding in their chests releasing in a grateful sigh. Hyosuke went to Miaka and clasped her hands, looking to his mother who nodded with a smile. Thank goodness. |

"Are you alright?" Yanku asked Sake, holding her face gently in his hands and kissing her tenderly.
Inmu held Tobi, cradling her protectively, nuzzling the top of her head.
Hyosuke looked at his wife, his arms around her and he was so glad that she was alright that he couldn't stop the tears that dripped from his eyes.

Taiki bowed to Zoisite. 'Yes sir. Thank you for not thinking me weak.'
She then had an odd feeling pass over her while she had bowed. She lifted a hooved hand to her face and gasped in fear. 'Ami, Zoi-sama... blood. There's blood on my hands! I don't want to kill anyone! please, help me!' She said panicking.Her voice was shaky as she closed her eyes, trying to hide from her visions.
Meanwhile, Jadeite over to where Zoisite was and whispered to him so as not to upset any of the visitors. 'Toto-San,are we all here then, or are there yet more to come before we meet Inari at the Tower?'
He then stopped having heard whimpering and saw Taiki. 'I wonder if she is the seer that Inari Okami was telling me about?'

Eventually, Saki began to tire. Pancik began to tear into her now as she knew when she stopped moving, she and the little boy were more than likely as good as dead. 'What do I do now? I can't keep this momentum up much longer!' She thought to herself in fright. She slowed to a halt and cried out in agony as she felt her leg grabbed by many teeth that felt like long razorblades. 'Aobozu... ANYONE! Help us, please!'

((hmhm.. I like their voices. Very interesting story they have those two.)
Nephrite lay in bed resting. It had been a while since his brother had went off go get Makoto. He truly had been tired and fell asleep not too long after. Presently, he Began to hear odd noises far off in his mind, and a scent that shook him. 'Another wolf like I? Mako?' He awoke and looked around for his other half. 'Mako-kun?'

Zoisite nodded back, shifting his focus to Jadeite and what his brother was whispering to him. He was quiet for a moment, his eyes narrowed slightly as he listened. "Yes, I believe so," he whispered calmly to his brother, "We must make plans though. Ami and Minako-san and probably Setsuna-san and Makoto-chan can not come with us. Taiki should stay here as well. She seems to be the seer but does not have control over her powers. It would be better if she was kept safe. We shouldn't leave them unprotected." Meanwhile, Ami took Taiki's hands, worried about her lover. "Taiki-chan, there's nothing there, it's just an illusion," she said, squeezing her love's hands, "You don't need to-to...oh! Oh no!" Ami suddenly groaned and sank to the ground, her water breaking as he body got ready to give birth. She lay, panting, in pain and Zoisite dove to care for her, pillowing her head on his lap and lifting her legs so she was comfortable. "Brother, could you get some towels and hot water please?" he asked quickly, before looking at Taiki, "Taiki-san, snap out of it please. Ami needs your help. Your Star Maker aren't you? I need you to catch the babies when they come out. That is the blood on your hands understand? Not death, it's life!" ---- As Saki began to slow the little boy on her back loosen one of his arms and with a panicked cry suddenly shot a beam of energy at the nearest beast, sending the monster flying back with a yelp. Aobozu was on the other side, taking out the two which had raced towards Saki and the boy. He swiped them away with his great claw, snarling and snapping. Eventually the creatures either ran off or lay dead upon the land and Aobozu caught Saki's shoulder's, hugging her tightly, worried that she had been fatally hurt. He was back to his human form. "Saki, Saki, look at me," he said, looking into her eyes, "Are you alright? I'm here." ---- (Yep.  ) At the open window the cool wind blew the curtains in gentle waves, rippling like shadow and two figures slipped silently into the room. One had a feminine body, white and lovely but powerful and cold. She was wearing a mask, her glowing blue eyes peering at Nephrite as he lay in bed. SHe had a Celtic designed bow in her hand but no arrows were apparent on her form. Flowing behind her was a large mass of black fur, glowing blue eyes, a wide and glowing maul of a mouth filled with sharp teeth. It was this larger figure that swept towards Nephrite, a wolf or death which practically pounced on Nephrite, hovering over him as it sniffed his face. "It's him Lamb," Wolf rumbled, sniffing, "I knew it." "yes, dear Wolf," Lamb said, her voice the cool air in the night, "It is." |

Jadeite bowed curtiously. 'Of course brother.' He then left to get the towels and water as was asked.
'..Ami..? Ami-kun!' She was brought back out of the trance she'd slipped into at hearing her lover crying out. 'She's started into labour?..' She said no more as she went to be ready to help Ami and to catch thier children as they came. 'It's ok now Ami. I'm here my darling; I'll help you.'

Saki was trying to focus on many things at once but, decided to pick one and to put the others aside for a time. first to come was the pain in her leg andshortly following that was Aobozu.
'A-Aobozu? I-I think I'm okbut a bit shaky. One of those things got my leg though.'
She Went to try and stand, but finding it too painful for the moment she sat down in the shadowed area. 'What on earth just happened? Are you ok? Is that kid ok? I just heard him cry out and then there was a large blast of light. You saved us Aobozu..' She blushed a bit at the thought of havign been saved but also, now realized that she was truly vulnerable here.

Nephrite believed now that he was still dreaming seeing the way everything was happening. He shook his head an one of his ears lowered in confusion.
'What in the world.. I thought I was the only one... ' He whimpered a bit as he struggled to figure things out. 'But.. you are another wolf like me. And, you have another half as well!' He grew somewhat excited that there might actually be another being such as himself and Makoto. He then realized how frighteningly close he was to the wolf's jaws and his tails drooped as did hi other ear. He knew now he was in trouble and that calling for anyone here and now was obviously out of the question.

Zoisite held Ami's hands so she could bare down on something and was glad that his brother was helping them. Ami looked at Taiki, a soft smile on her face even though it was obvious she was in pain.
"I know," she whispered, wincing from the pain, "I trust you, Taiki my love. Oh, oh the first one's coming."
She moaned and sweating and pushing she began to ease the first baby out of her, the head slowly appearing.

Immediately lifting Saki with the boy attached into his arms, Aobozu turned and began walking back to the house, moving as quickly as he could without shaking his love.
"You and the child were very brave, Saki," he said, "But I was a fool to put you in such danger. Forgive me."
He took her through the gate and past the garden, entering the house and taking her to the nearest bedroom where he lay her down gently. He retrieved bandages and carefully began to clean Saki's wounds, worried about her and feeling ashamed of himself.
The boy slipped off Saki's shoulders and sat on the bed, looking worried as well.

Wolf listened to Nephrite, staring at him with his glowing blue eyes, panting his hot breath into Nephrite's face and Lamb approached fluidly, stopping at the edge of the bed. Kindred was the twin essences of death, opposites of each other and yet so alike as well. Wolf was vicious and hungry while Lamb was calm and never hungered. Wolf felt so much but knew so little while Lamb knew much but felt so little. Hot and cold, masculine and feminine, immortal, together forevermore.
"Tell us, Nephrite," she said softly, like a wistful spirit, "If you were meant to die today, would you take my arrow or let Wolf dive his teeth into you? Choose carefully."

Jadeite returned with the towels and water. He wet one and helped Ami to wipe away the sweat for her. Taiki saw the first baby's head comming out and got ready to help it out carefully. 'Ok hunny, it's comming isee the head is out now.' She saw the mouth of the child emerge and smiled as she quickly dove her arms to help lead the child out of it's mother. She'd never helped deliver a child and seeing the baby filled her with great joy. 'Ok, the arms are almost out now darling.'

Saki laughed a bit,though she hissed in pain when he started cleaning her wounds on her leg. 'It's ok. I'm used to danger, but you were amazing out there Aobozu. You fought like you were possessed! And, you,' She looked to the boy now beside her. 'Was that you who blew away that one creature with that light beam?' She seemed astounded that a child would hold such power.

Nephrite seemed to go pale at the words which Lamb spoke. 'You.. you know my name. How...?' He sighed sadly and looked away from the wolf above him, though even with eyes closed he could still feel thier gazes, the wolf and the Lamb. 'Nevermind that question now, those and other there are no time for now. It is true then, I am to be alone always. Then, so be it. Lamb,' He looked to the feminine sheepish figure almost beggingly. 'I..' *he closed his eyes, trying to hide tears, though they still came. He laughed a bit. 'Isn't that odd? Always at the end I cry, in all of my lives, it's always the one who somehow is left alone. But I as well. The gods chose well to make me a wolf then. Lamb, if my end must come; I wish itto be by you because... you remind me of my darling Makoto, my other half and very much my better. I'd rather be killed by that which reminds me of my true love, than the loneliness I already know.'

If she had been caught so unawares and had been alone the birth would have been that much more frightening.

Aobozu pressed his mouth into a line, trying to be gentle.
"Sometimes what must be done, must be done," he said, and then fell silent. He was upset that Saki had been injured, that she had seen him as the monster that he was, that she had had to fight the creatures at all.
The boy squirmed and looked down at his hands. He went his lips, nervous, and then spoke.
"I don't know," he said,"It just happens sometimes. Grandpa says it makes me special but Mom and Dad don't like it."

"We know everyone's name," Lamb replied softly.
"And everyone's scent," Wolf rumbled.
"But do not worry, it is not your time yet," she said, "We were simply testing you, to see if you were brave. You made the right choice; so there's no need to cry."
Wolf licked Nephrite's face, wiping away some of his tears, and then the door opened and Makoto was standing there. She looked shocked for a moment, and pale, but then she grew angry.
"Get away from him!" she screamed, dashing into a battle she wouldn't be able to win in order to protect her lover. After all, she was only human, but she was a warrior and a protective one at that. She, like Nephrite, would do whatever it took to keep their loved ones alive.

"I am alright," Yanku said, holding his wife in his arms, hugging her.
Inmu nuzzled Tobi and Hyosuke rested his forehead against his wife's, so thankful.
