Xander's ears twitched and he focused on Kayven for a brief moment before he slowly sat up, his tail swished as he moved. He looked down at Noelle first, and licked her ears and forehead, then stood up and stretched again. There was another twitch of his ears as he walked over to where the stripey male was.
Noelle stirred slightly and stretched out in her sleep.

"See?" Kayven said, gesturing to the beautiful landscape, "It looks so fresh and clear."

Xander blinked in the light and sniffed the gentle breeze, taking in the scents it brought with it as it blew through his fur.
"Yes, it's lovely,," he purred.
Noelle stirred again and an ear twitched.

Kayven smiled and nuzzled Xander tenderly, just happy to be alive and with his friend.
"Noelle," he called gently, "Noelle come see the morning."

Xander briefly leaned against the stripey male while he continued to look outside, his ears twitched slightly, "She'll wake up when she's ready, Kayven."
Noelle's ears twitched again but she was still asleep.

"Alright, I suppose she needs her sleep," Kayven said, "I've never dealt with a child before. I'm sorry if I've done wrong."

Xander smiled slightly and glanced at Kayven,"You haven't done wrong, babies just sleep a lot. She's a hyper little one when she's awake though."
His tail twitched back and forth for a moment as he looked outside again, enjoying the view.
Noelle's tail swished around briefly and one of her front paws twitched as she rolled onto her back again.

Kayven looked back at Noelle and smiled softly. He then looked back outside with Xander, watching the clouds drift lazily across the fresh blue sky. The long grass swayed in the breeze and the lake beyond was clear and mostly smooth, the wind causing the occasional ripple on the blue surface.

Xander sat still, enjoying the peace of the moment.
Noelle slowly opened her eyes and rolled over, her ears twitched faintly as she looked around sleepily.

After a little while of watching the new day, Kayven turned to Xander.
"I'll go find us some breakfast," he said, giving Xander a gentle nuzzle, "I'll be back soon."

Xander made a sound of acknowledgement to Kayven, distracted by suddenly finding Noelle cuddling up to his side. He gave the stripey male a nudge in response before turning his attention to his daughter, he licked at her forehead.
Noelle sat still, leaning into her father and looked about sleepily. Her ears twitched as Xander licked them.

Kayven spent one moment smiling at Xander and Noelle and then left, disappearing in the long grass.

Xander looked up long enough to watch Kayven leave, then wrapped his tail around Noelle and licked her ears again as she lay down next to her. He continued to look outside as his ears twitched alertly. After a while he looked back at his daughter and pressed his nose to her forehead affectionately. Then he spoke softly as he tried to explain things to the small red female cuddled up to his side.
Noelle looked up at her father curiously and listened intently, but was easily distracted by little things like; the sound of the grass and leaves moving in the wind and the scents that it brought with it, the dappled sunlight that she sometimes caught glimpses of.

Eventually Kayven returned carrying a large leaf folded into a carrier. He placed the leaf before Xander and Noele, red berries and nuts spilling out. He then sat back, his tail curled around his paws.
