Here is the delete proof first post of MiDZ' and littlelost's RP, Knopfleri: Kayven and Xander.

In a small garden of a farmer's wife, a small, grey and sunset striped Knopfleri was digging in the carrot patch. It's small paws dug deep into the soft, dark soil, looking for the tasty orange treat it knew was there.
Eventually the Knopfleri unearthed a large, delicious looking carrot and picked the vegetable up daintily in its mouth. It's ears twitched, hearing the sound of running footsteps coming towards it. It was the farmer's wife, yelling and screaming and holding up a pitchfork in typical angry farmer fashion.
The Knopfleri didn't even bother looking at the mad woman, it simply ran headlong into the forest, it's heart thumping in its chest like a hummingbird's wing. It ran, frightened, as it dashed through the undergrowth, evading the farmer's wife.
Then, just as it felt that it had lost the angry woman, Kayven looked back to make sure and rammed into something warm, fuzzy and Knopfleri shaped. He hit the other creature at a full run and knocked himself unconscious, falling against the other animal in a lifeless heap.
The carrot fell from his mouth and rolled across the forest floor.

Wandering through the forest, the brown and green Knopfleri had paused momentarily to curiously examine a small plant his tail had brushed against. His large ears twitched as he slowly became aware of noises in the undergrowth, he had only just looked round when something had suddenly crashed into him, practically knocking him over.
Startled, Xander pushed himself back onto his feet with his tail held straight up in alarm, only relaxing when he partly distracted by a carrot rolling past him. Then he realized the thing that had hit him was another Knopfleri, one that apparently wasn't moving. He sniffed at it, searching for a familiar scent, but all he could smell was carrot and fresh dirt.
Carefully nudging the unconscious Knopfleri off of him, he pawed at it's back in an attempt to wake it.

Kayven whimpered, feeling something softly pawing at him. Slowly he arose to consciousness, groggy and hurting. He looked to the brown and green Knopfleri and groaned.
"I'm...sorry," he said, wincing in pain, "Did I hurt you?"

Xander watched the grey Knopfleri for a moment before sitting down and wrapping his tail around himself. His side hurt a little from the collision, but it didn't bother him too much.
"I'm alright," he replied, tilting his head slightly to give the stripey male a concerned look, "Seems you took quite a bump to the head though. You okay?"

"I'm a little woozy," Kayven said miserably, laying his head on the ground, "Where is the farmer's wife, is she still coming? I only looked back for a second, darn it."
He tried to lift his ears to see if he could hear her but winced painfully and put his ears down. It wasn't just his head that hurt, his chest, lungs and legs ached from running and he was pretty sure he had stepped on a thorn or something along the way. He whimpered and tried to lick the underside of his paw.

"Farmer's wife? Well, that explains the running... and the carrot. How far away was the farm?" Xander asked, his ears twitching alertly as he listened for any angry women marching through the forest. He noticed the stripey Knopfleri wincing and felt a pang on sympathy. "Hold on."
His tail waved out behind him as he stood up and bounded away, returning moments later dragging part of a tree branch behind him, attempting to camoflage his brightly coloured companion.

"Thank you," Kayven said, curling up tightly under the branch, "I just...I need time to rest."
He closed his eyes, shivering with fear.
"The farm was, o-over those three rivers," he said, lifting his nose to look north, "She chased me all the way. She hates me, I know she does I just...I was so hungry."

Xander turned his head to face north, ears still twitching as he sniffed the air to check for nearby danger. So far all he heard was normal background noise.
"I wouldn't take it personally, humans can be really loud when it comes to food," he said, trying to reassure the frightened stripey one. He looked around for a minute before retrieving the forgotten carrot, setting it down near the branch and attempting to role it closer to the other Knopfleri, "You'll probably be wanting this back."
He lay down to one side of the tree branch, blending in with it slightly, and wrapped his tail around himself once more now that he'd decided his new companion might need the company, "Name's Xander, by the way."

"Thank you, my name's Kayven," the other Knopfleri said and bit into the carrot. He scraped at it with his front paws, his sharp nails ripping at the carrot until in was in two prefect halves. He moved one of the pieces over to Xander gently with his nose, sharing his spoils with the other Knopfleri as way of saying thanks and then began to slowly eat his own carrot section.

Xander nodded in acknowledgement and sniffed at the carrot half before picking it up and balancing it between his paws to nibble on it. He glanced up occassionally, ears twitching at any noises.
"So, Kayven, haven't seen you around before. You been in this part of the forest long?" he inquired, wondering if his new friend shared his wandering tendences. The tip of his tail flicked across his face, tickling him as he took a moment to groom it.

"No, I'm...new here, you could say," Kayven said, taking a moment to stop gnawing on his carrot to speak, "The truth is my mother was in a zoo when she had me so this is my first time outside my enclosure. My cage...it fell off the truck and I waited for someone to come back for me, but they never did. So I managed to squeeze out through the bars and I've been wandering around ever since. That's why I was so hungry. I haven't eaten in a while and when I saw the farm...but the woman there was so angry..."
He bit a large chuck off his carrot and almost choked on it.

Watching Kayven with a steady and curious gaze, Xander listened intently to his story, ears continuing to twitch attentively.
"That must've been tough." he commented, about to say more when he noticed his stripey friend bite off a bit more than he could chew [literally!] and flicked his tail round to give the other Knopfleri a bit of a thud on the back to make sure he didn't end up with carrot stuck in his throat. "You don't seem to be having the best of luck today. You alright?"

Kayven coughed and the carrot piece came up far enough that he could chew it in half and swallow it without choking. He waited until his mouth was fully empty and he could breath before he spoke.
"I'm alright," he said, "Thanks, and your right, I've been having a lousy day. I've been working off my instincts mostly up till now, doing what they tell me so I can stay alive...If its no trouble could I...stay with you for a while? I promise I won't get in the way."

"Your instincts probably just need more time to adjust, is all, I'm sure you'll do fine once you're used to it," Xander said assuringly, nibbling at his half of the carrot, then his ears perked up in surprise as he registered Kayven's request.
He regarded the stripey Knopfleri thoughtfully for a long moment, then nodded, giving him a friendly look. "Sure, I don't see why not. You planning on heading anywhere in particular?"
