Xander's ears flattened against his head when the lid was but on the basket. "Mmh."
He tensed when the bike started up, but after a while he relaxed again and stayed cuddled with Kayven. His tail wrapped around them.

Kayven cuddled with his family, Myren and Noelle safely tucked under him and Xander. He flicked his ears, listening to the sound of the wind rushing by. They reached a road and he crinkled his nose at the smell.

Xander shook his head, then rubbed at his nose with his paw. His ears twitched as he resettled himself and looked around the small space they were in.
Noelle cuddled into Myren before sniffing at one of the carrots the giant had left in the basket with them. She looked up at Kayven for a moment, then tried to roll a piece over.

Kayven cuddled with Xander and watched Noelle roll the carrot around. His tail swished from side to side as they traveled down the road and into a city. Eventually they pulled into the parking lot of a motel named the No More Heroes motel.
Travis climbed off his bike and retrieved the basket the knopfleri were inside, carefully carrying it up the stairs and into his second floor apartment. He set the basket down on the carpeted floor and after making sure the doors and windows were closed, opened the basket to let the knopfleris out.

Xander tensed as the noise stopped and basket moved. His ears twitched at the sounds outside and he watched as the lid move away from them. He sniffed the air and raised himself up enough to peek out of the basket.
Noelle stayed cuddled with Myren and Kayven. She nibbled on part of a carrot while she watched her father investigate.

Xander's ears perked up in surprise as he found himself face to face with the female. He raised himself up further to sniff at her. His tail swished happily. "Hello."
Noelle continued to nibble her carrot in comfort, now ignoring whatever was going on.

"My name's Charlotte," the knopfleri said, sniffing Xander in return, "Who are all of you? Have you come to live with us?"

Xander looked around while he let the female get his scent. He eyed the human for a minute to check what he was doing, then he returned his focus to Charlotte. "Name's Xander."
He looked back at the others and motioned for Kayven to come say hello. He glanced around again. "Where are we?"

"Nice to meet you," Charlotte said as Kayven popped his head up as well, "You're in my home right now, in a town called Santa Destroy. We're in California. My human Travis takes good care of me here."

Xander's ears twitched as he sniffed the air and at the edge of the basket. He looked around as much as possible to try and get a better idea of his new surroundings. His tail swished.
Noelle looked up when Kayven moved. She abandoned her carrot and stood up to look around, placing her front paws up against the side of the basket.

Charlotte and Kayven stared at each other, taking a moment to sniff noses. Myren saw his father(s) and Noelle move and, curiously, he got up as well, stretching up on his back legs to try and reach the rim of the basket. He soon realized and he was much to short and yipped for assistance.

Xander heard Myren and came over to him. He nuzzled him for a moment, then carefully lifted him by the back of the neck and carried him to an edge of the basket. His tail straightened out for better balance as he raised himself up and rested the little Knopfleri between his front paws on the edge of the basket to let him see, he kept himself close so Myren could lean on his chest if he thought he might fall.
Noelle could just about peek above the edge and look around. She caught a glimpse of white fur next to Kayven and stared at it curiously.

Myren licked Xander in thanks and stayed between his paws, looking around curiously. Charlotte say the baby and smiled, her tail swaying.
"Your son?" she asked Kayven, sniffing the baby.
"Y-Yes," Kayven said, and when Noelle peaked over the edge Charlotte's ears lifted and she sniffed Noelle's nose curiously.

Xander groomed Myren while he looked around. He paused briefly to let Charlotte sniff him, and gave their surroundings another once over, then continued to groom the little knopfleri's ears. He glanced at Kayven when he stuttered. His tail swished.
Noelle moved back in surprise, but quickly came back over to sniff at the female knopfleri that had appeared.
