So, who is your favorite character from Kakurenbo and which character frightened you the most?
I really like Inmu and Yanku. They are calm, silent and yet not creepy to me. They are also tough, willing to fight until the end. The fact that they managed to convey what they were thinking without speaking, to us or each other, was cool as well.
The character(s) that frightened me the most was Oil taker. Something about small individuals chasing me with a large drum and easily keeping up would scare the crud out of me. The part that they would probably throw me into the drum if they caught me is also- *shivers*
So what about you?

Liver Taker and the demons are cute, but Liver Taker is sexier than the others. The twins and the children are a bit adorable. Blood Taker is more frightening...

*nods* I read somewhere that Livertaker (Kimotori) was designed to look the most human so... X3.
I agree with you about Chitori (Blood taker) I mean, they guy is lion like creature with blades sticking out him and a human face. He also tends to run people down, even his own fellow demons. Yikes!

I loved chitori but... I love komainus and shishis period anyhow XD so I'm biased on this point.. The scariest..... hm... and sorry MiDZ I meant that Kotori was like Rangda not kimotori lol.. that's my bad. So yeh... Kotori.. 'She' is definetly the freakiest seeming one. I dunno if i'm alone in this but i'd have liked to see some actual fighting where in the outcome, the demons could show off thier names sake but then that'd prolly put the rating higher then what it was lol..

oh ad i agree about Aburatori lol.. Two tiny freaky twin things with some sort of 'washer drum looking critter' being pulled behind them and their grating laugh. make me think they'd corner you anyhow and strt singing the friggin 'oompa'loompa' song for some carzy reason.. And those oompa-loompas in the original film freaked the crud outta me.. still do tbh..<.<;`` lol..

On TV tropes and Idioms there's a post about how the creators were originally going to have the demons tear the children apart when they caught them but the idea was scraped. Good thing too, because seeing the kids tore to pieces would have made the movie very shallow and I would have most likely despised the movie. I don't like watching people dying or in pain or begging for someone to help them. It makes me feel frightened and sad.  Also, if Aburatori caught you and threw you into their drum it was suppose to drain all of the oil out of your skin and leave you a dried husk... Thank goodness they didn't have THAT in the movie. |

Well, I heard there was a first Oil taker that looked like a bat and it wrapped the victims around. I was sad that they cut him off, but I believe there were three more that haven't shown up in the movie. One beta Liver Taker before the second one, it was more surprise it was so cool to see them. I always do the fanfiction about them...

I tried to do a M+ Kakurenbo except it was a failure... I will try to think of a fanfiction involving Bioshock and Kakurenbo crossover, but it won't combine if I did research.
