Once he was a bit steadier on his paws, he nodded in response to the question, then noticed Charlotte's expression and smirked slightly.
"Yes, we're from the wild." His ears twitched, and he walked over to the edge of the bed to rescue Myren and lift him closer the middle of the sheets so he wouldn't fall off. He looked thoughtful as he turned back to the female. "Where are you from then?"
Noelle let go of the sheet and looked up at Kayven. Her tail waved as she smiled and batted the sheet about, trying to show him her new plaything.

Myren chirped in surprise as Xander helped him up onto the bed, but once he was steady he purred and rubbed against Xander's legs before appily toddling around on the soft bed. Kayven heard this going on and so he lifted Noelle gently by the scruff of her neck and lept to the top of the bed.
"I was... I was born at a pet store," Charlotte said, "I was taken from my mother once I was weened and I was brought by a fashionable lady, but... she didn't know very much about knopfleri and returned me. I was deemed "damaged goods" and kept in the back. My human, Travis, found me there while doing a part time job and he took me to his home. I am very grateful to him. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if he hadn't come."

Noelle waited until Kayven let her go before she looked around at her new surroundings. She paused and looked at the edge as though thinking about jumping back down to keep playing with the sheet, but was then distracted by the big soft thing at the top of the bed and immediately half-bounced, half-stumbled over to check it out.
Xander watched Charlotte for a moment, then walked over and lay down next to her. His tail flicked around them both as he nuzzled her neck and groomed her in an attempt to offer comfort.

Myren saw Noelle head towards the pillow and toddled after her, sniffing at the soft, fluffy thing as well.
Kayven sat and watched the children while Charlotte purred and rubbed her head against Xander, thanking him.

Noelle pounced onto the softness and rolled around. Then she sat up thoughtfully before grabbing one corner with her teeth and trying to pull it towards Kayven to show him the new thing.
Xander purred and rested his chin on Charlotte's head for a moment. From the corner of his eye he could see the children playing and smiled to himself.

Myren wasn't much help with Noelle's "show the pillow to Kayven" quest since he climbed on top of the pillow, rolling around on it and needling it playful.He yipped happily, bouncing around until he came nose to nose with Noelle and sniffed her, his tail swaying excitedly once he found her.
Kayven watched this exchange and shared a look with Xander, smirking softly, while Charlotte smiled happily to herself and cuddled up with Xander.

Noelle let go of the pillow in surprise when Myren ended up face to face with her. She sniffed him back, curious now that he smelled like the smells on the pillow, and yipped.
Xander caught Kayven's eye and held his gaze for a moment, his expression peaceful and satisfied while he let Charlotte cuddle into him.

Myren yipped back, looking at his friend curiously. He was so focused on her that he lost his balance, his eyes wideneding, and tumbled off to the side. After he fell he got up, shaking his head in a confused sort of way, surprised that he had fallen. Kayven stared at him for a moment and then turned away, deciding to look after the children inside. Charlotte sighed softly and rested her head on her front paws. "Is there anything else you'd like to know?" she asked. (Merry Christmas  ) |

Noelle's ears stood straight as Myren toppled over. She got up and hopped over to him, sniffing again to see if he was okay. Xander blinked slowly, the stress of the big move and unfamiliar surroundings had made him tired so he took a moment to try to gather his thoughts. "What do you do around here? For fun and to keep busy." (I hope you had a Merry Christmas, too! And have a happy New Year. ) |

Myren swayed his tail happily and sniffed Noelle's nose in return, showing that he was alright. He was young and bouncy. Getting to his feet he rubbed his head against Noelle's, purring softly.
Kayven smiled softly at the scene.
"Well," Charlotte began, "I have some balls to chase and sometimes my human takes me on his bike and we take walks in the park. I like looking at the window to and watch the cars go by and there's the anime stuff my human likes to watch. it's funny and he really seems to enjoy it, sometimes to much...better not let the children see that."

Noelle held still while Myren rubbed against her, preoccupied with sniffing the corner of the soft thing. She rubbed her cheek against Myren in response then tried to play with his ear.
Xander tilted his head slightly, confused by several things. "Bike? ... That's the noisy thing we were brought here by? Anime stuff...?"

Myren purred and then gave a yipping type of giggle as Noelle gripped his ear, trying to pull away.
"Yes, it was the noisy thing," Charlotte said, smiling softly, "As for anime it's...well... people seem to like to watch other people on a big square thing called a tv, and anime is a people show but the people look kind of...different. They have huge eyes and small mouths and have bright colors. My human likes it."

Noelle leaned in the direction Myren was moving so she could still play without hurting him. Her tail swished happily.
Xander's head titled the other way as his eyes narrowed slightly in confusion. "...Don't all humans look like that anyway?"

Xander's ear twitched while he looked around thoughtfully. "I've only seen your human up close. I don't think I'd want to get close to more."
